Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation Review

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Hey lovelies! It's been a while. I've been experimenting with my blog identity lately, so much so that's it's kept me away from my blog! Recently, I've been thinking about dabbing into the YouTube side of things, filming and editing, and I've actually completed about 3 videos (???)...but I deleted them, because my OCD is a bitch. Perfectionism at it's worst, ladies and gents. Anyway, some things that I haven't deleted involving my vids (that are now 6 feet under) are my shameless selfies that resulted from them. So I decided to turn said selfies into reviews, because why the heck not.

Today, up for review, is the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation. The consistency of the product is medium/average; it's not runny, but it also doesn't stay in place either and it's very easy to spread. It is a drug store brand, so prices are decent. I got the foundation for around 8 dollars. You can get your hands on it by clicking here*.

To me the pros are:

  • the decent color selection.
  • you can work your way up to the coverage you want without a cakey-look.
  • covers blemishes decently so that you barely need concealer.
  • it's a very breathable product; my skin isn't suffocating!

Here's me before makeup and then after. I didn't do any spot concealing treatment and as you can see my dark marks are barely noticeable after one coat of foundation.

(Other products on my face are powder, highlighter, blush, lipstick, eye shadow, brow powder, and mascara.)

On the flip side, the cons of this product are:
  • transferring. If you aren't careful and you don't powder, it's sure to happen.
  • the dark complexioned products have a slight red undertone, which can be daunting if you have a yellowish undertone like me, but the product does blend well to the point where that problem is very unnoticeable.
All in all I would give this product a 4 out of 5. It's definitely not the best, but it's also not the worst and I plan on using every last drop of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to look cute on a budget. Do you have any drugstore foundations favs? Leave them down below and I'll be sure to check them out!
